Monday Night Update on Jonesy

Thank you to everyone for all of the love and support for the sick fur boy. We both appreciate it.

Jonesy on Monday evening at the overnight Vet's office.
Jonesy spent Monday at Livingston Animal Hospital, our regular vet. They did an ultrasound on his kidneys, and heart, and did a needle aspiration of an unknown mass on one kidney. They aren't sure if it is cancer or not. The lab results on that won't be back for 2-3 days.

He has pancreatitis, and an enlarged liver and gall bladder. They believe the latter two are a result of the first. He's on antibiotics for all of that, and seems to be responding well. He even finally ate some wet food on Monday afternoon.

When I picked him up from the regular vet to take him to the overnight vet, he had more fight back in him. He wanted to jump down from the table in the exam room, but we didn't want him to do that. When I got to the car, he jumped out of my arms and into the car, so that does take some energy to manage.

Jonesy is spending the night at the Emergency Vet clinic so they can continue to give him IV fluids and monitor his condition.

I get to pick him up again on Tuesday morning, and take him back to the regular vet for the day for more monitoring. I should be able to take him home Tuesday evening if he continues to improve throughout the day.

The fact that he feels better right now is good, but we still don't have a good picture of his overall health. We will have a better idea when the labs come back on his kidney biopsy.

Loki and I miss him, and hope he gets to come home soon.
